PARENT LETTER

October 4, 2026

Dear Parents and Families,

As we welcome the month of October, we want to thank you for your continued partnership and support. Our students are working hard each day, and we encourage families to help us keep the momentum going by focusing on four important areas: attendance, reading, math, and behavior.

Attendance Matters

Every school day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and build relationships. Please make every effort to have your child at school and on time each day. Consistent attendance helps students stay caught up with classroom instruction and prevents learning gaps.

Keep Reading!

Reading every day, even for just 15–20 minutes, can make a significant difference in your child's academic growth. Encourage your child to read books, magazines, or other age-appropriate materials at home. Ask questions about what they are reading and have them tell you about their favorite parts.

Practice Math Skills

Math skills grow with regular practice. Please encourage your child to practice basic math facts, problem-solving, and grade-level skills at home. Everyday activities such as cooking, shopping, telling time, and counting can also provide opportunities to practice math.

Positive Behavior

We continue to encourage our students to ACT: Are respectful and trustworthy, Care about each other, and take responsibility. Please talk with your child about making positive choices, treating others with kindness, following school expectations, and taking responsibility for their actions. When school and home work together, students are more successful.

Important Reminders

• Student drop-off begins at 7:15 a.m. Please do not drop students off before this time, as supervision is not available.

• Bus changes must be called in to the office before 12:00 p.m. This allows us enough time to communicate changes safely and accurately with teachers and transportation staff. Please continue to encourage your child to arrive on time with everything they need for a successful school day.
